Where is Educacentre located?

Educacentre is located in a lovely residential area of Saint-Petersburg in 15 minutes from the very heart of St.Petersburg by metro. The nearest metro station Komendantsky prospect (5th “purple” line of St.Petersburg metro) is located in the same building on the ground floor. In order to reach the school, you’ll need to use the way out of the metro station to the shopping mall Atmosphere, walk forward till the elevators and then rise on 6th floor.

What is the maximum number of students per group?

5-6 students per group is our maximum

What are the teaching methods?

The main principles can be outlined as follows:

  • students start speaking Russian immediately!
  • we believe that to learn to speak you need to speak freely, even if you make mistakes.
  • we teach practical grammar through communicative tasks, even those traditionally presented as 'you-will-have-to-learn-it-yourself' items such as cases, reading and pronunciation rules, conjugations and others.
  • we teach modern conversational Russian.
  • we provide our students with up-to-date knowledge of contemporary Russian culture and some understanding of the recent past which can be useful in dealing with the 'mysterious Russian soul'.

What will I gain after taking a course at Educacentre?

All our students receive a graded certificate at the end of their course indicating course type, course length, numbers of academic hours taken and level achieved

What is visa invitation letter and how it can help me to receive my visa?

Any foreigner coming to Russia has to receive a special invitation from the inviting organization. Educacentre provides the visa invitations for all students. The length of the visa invitation is strictly set according to amount of weeks of tuition and the accommodation booked at Educacentre. We also provide the special instructions for filling in the visa application form along with the invitation.

We strongly recommend our students to check with the local Russian Consulate which other documents are required in order to receive the visa.

How do I sort out my accommodation?

We  will be happy to arrange pick up the accommodation for you! We provide the accommodation in host families and in hostels in St.Petersburg.

Any type of accommodation should be booked in advance, in two weeks minimum prior the arrival date

What are the arrival and departures days for the accommodation?

The arrivals are on Sundays and departures are on Saturdays. If you would like to arrive on other day of the week, please kindly inform the Enrollment team.

Can anyone meet me at the airport?

Sure! We will be happy to meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation. Please book the arrival transfer with our school and provide us with your flight details.

Our hostfamilies always guide the students to the school on their first day but if you stay in a hostel or at a place of your own, here are some instructions on how to find us:

Educacentre is located in Primorsky district of St.Petersburg, on Komendantskiy Prospekt metro station. It's the last stop of 5th "purple" line of St.Petersburg metro. The journey from the city centre (Sadovaya metro station) takes about 15 minutes by metro without any changes in lines.

The school is located right above the metro station. In order to reach the school, you'll need to use the way out of the metro station to the shopping mall Atmosphere, walk forward till the elevators and then rise on 6th floor.

What will be my first day at school like?

You should arrive on 10:15 on your first day to meet Educacentre staff and to take a placement test (in case if you didn't take it online beforehand). Our managers will give you a short tour over the school and will discuss with you your study plan. The classes will start right after that.

How do you determine my level of Russian?

In order to determine your level of Russian, you can use our online grammar test or take this test upon arrival at school.

Which documents I should bring with me?

You should bring your passport with the visa and the migration card that you'll be given on the border in order to register your arrival to St.Petersburg. Also bring a photo of you, so that we could issue our student card for you.

Will I receive a support from Educacentre beforehand?

We are happy to provide our students will all the necessary information on the tuition, accommodation and etc beforehand. Please do not hesitate to use our email to contact us should you require any further information.

Will I be supported while studying at Educacentre and how?

Our managers will be happy to answer all your questions upon your arrival. They will help you to settle down, will show you around, advise on buying a local telephone card and etc. You can also book the city and suburbs excursions through our service.
